Visit a Dentist Open On Saturdays with a Damaged Tooth

Dentist Open On SaturdaysAs a dentist open on Saturdays, we know that you cannot predict when or if you will ever damage a tooth.  At the same time, we also know that the weekends tend to bring more activities and potential dental damage.  The church softball game on the weekend, ice skating with the kids in the winter, going for a bike ride on a trail - all of these are fun activities but they tend to be far more dangerous than sitting at a desk at school or work. As such, the chance of you damaging a tooth on a Saturday may be far higher than on a Tuesday morning.  This is why we are here when you need us.  If you damage a tooth on the weekend - that is okay.  We can examine, diagnose and treat you without requiring you to wait until Monday morning.

Dental Restoration Options

  • Dental bonding. If you or one of your children slightly cracks or chips a tooth, dental bonding is the fastest way to restore it. In this procedure, we prepare the tooth by slightly roughing it and moisturizing it and then we are able to place tooth-colored bonding material onto it. We then take time to shape it precisely so the bonding material is the exact shape and size of your natural tooth. We will then use a dental light to harden it in place and you will be able to leave our office with a fully restored and usable tooth.  Visiting a dentist open on Saturdays can restore your damaged tooth just in time for your Monday morning meeting.
  • Dental veneers. After damaging one of your front teeth, you may want to restore it and also improve the appearance of your smile. Dental veneers are an excellent way to do so because a veneer is a thin porcelain shell that is bonded to the surface of your teeth. This way, when you smile, people see the veneers and not your tooth below. This allows us to use them to close gaps in between teeth, change the overall shape and size of teeth, make teeth look straighter, cover stains, and improve their overall appearance.
  • Dental crowns.  When one of your molars is damaged or you have experienced significant damage on any of your teeth, a dental crown is most likely going to be the recommended solution. This is because a crown is a cap that completely surrounds the visible portion of your teeth. When you go to bite down, your natural tooth will not be touched, but your crown will. This provides the level of stability necessary to be able to continue using a tooth that might otherwise have to be pulled.  Since we can make crowns using tooth-colored materials, a crown can also look entirely natural so that you can continue being confident when you smile.
